Membership
What membership gives you
We would rather promise a few things and keep them than list a dozen we cannot. Here is exactly what a member gets.
A plain-English update twice a year on the projects your money supports, including the work that did not go to plan
An invitation to the annual general meeting, held online so nobody has to travel
A vote on the decisions members make, including changes to our constitution
First sight of the grants we are about to award, before they are announced publicly
A named contact at Duet who answers questions about where money went
The option to be named on our public membership page, only if you want to be
What membership is not
It is not a subscription to a magazine, and it does not buy influence over which projects we fund — Trustees make those decisions on the evidence. It is also not the same as donating. Many members do both, and either on its own is welcome.
Small charity, practical help
Duet is funded by our Founders and by people who believe useful research should not stall for want of a modest amount of money. Every gift goes into projects.
